I was approached by Chloe, the new co-owner of the Best Western Brome Grange hotel on the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
Chloe wanted to throw an extravagant event for the hotel staff to show appreciation for all their hard work and had her heart set on a large balloon decoration to really dress the venue and set the mood for the evening.
This wasn’t Chloe’s first time working with a professional balloon decorator. Having used various decorators in London previously she reached out to me to see if I could help having seen some of my previous work.
Chloe sent me some examples of what she wanted/had before at previous events elsewhere and asked if I could make something similar for her (keep reading to find out if I met her expectations).
The shimmery glitter wall and the NYE illuminated letter props were supplied by the venue, it was my job to assemble and dress the balloons to suit the space and glitter wall.
For the latex I used high quality balloons from Sempertex with both fashion and reflex finishes, with the reflex giving a chrome/reflective appearance and the fashion latex offering a more natural appearance.
Incorporating a small number of foil balloons of varying shapes and sizes allowed me to give the balloon decoration some depth and contrast.
The outcome of the balloon décor? It made the dancefloor look very appealing and made a great small venue with lots of character and charm look amazing.
Amela did a fantastic job.
She put together a beautiful arch for my event on NYE.
I send her a photo of what I wanted and she made it look more beautiful than what I had envisioned.
The quality of her work and quality of the balloons were very good- they even lasted for other events I had in the barn.
I look forward to working with Amela on my next event.
Highly recommend her.
